    27 Software Updates  ->     ICE Series ICE  HELIX  7  CHIRP  GPS  G4 Important Notes and Prerequisites
    HumminbirdPC Helix 5 NOTICE! To ensure a smooth update process, please keep the unit powered on until the update is fully completed
    DO NOT power the unit off during the update.
    If you are currently running software version 2.180 or older, you need to install software version 2.320. You will need a Class 10 Micro SD no larger than 32GB, and 440 MB of available space. 
    If you are currently running software version 2.280              you need to install software version 2.330. Head unit software MUST be installed BEFORE installing any accessory software.
    The defaults will be restored when 2.930 is installed.
    You need to update your Humminbird Basemap once version (2.320 or 2.330) is installed.

    ICE HELIX 7 CHIRP GPS G4 Item # 411750-1 Save the .UPD file to your PC and move the .UPD file to your SD card. M:\Software\Humminbird\
    The Humminbird ICE Helix 7 uses a microSD card. Connect the SD card to your computer and ensure it is detected.
    This card slot is used for premium mapping, software updates,  Open File Explorer
    or to save screenshots, sonar recordings, and waypoints. Locate the update file in your Downloads section (see example below)
    Cut/copy and paste the desired files from your computer to your SD card.
    24 Control Head Keys check / Info key for charts Once the file has successfully saved on your card, safely disconnect your SD card.

    Update Instructions
    137 Set up Humminbird LakeMaster keep the unit powered on until the update is fully completed
    1.    remove any other card that may be present, such as a LakeMaster, Zero Lines, Navionics, etc., from the unit before initializing the new update.
    157 MOB - Man Overboard Press and hold the GOTO/MOB key until MOB is activated. 2.    Install the microSD or SD card with the updated software file into the control head card slot.
    3.    Power the unit on.
    159 Waypoints 2,750 possible The control head will recognize the new software (recognition may take several minutes) and run through a series of prompts to confirm the software installation.
    162 Select a Waypoint in the Chart View 1.  You will first be asked if you want to install the displayed version. To continue, answer with "Yes" (RIGHT Cursor key).
    163 Edit a Waypoint   on-the-go, Chart View 2.  You will then be asked if you want to abort the update in the chance you proceeded by mistake. To proceed with the update, answer "No" (LEFT Cursor Key).
